Weekend Re-cap

This happens to me once every few months.
I go, go, go, go, go......and then I crash!
I wear myself down going from job to job, finishing a project here and there, stressing about various things, all while trying to eat better, workout, and be a wife and momma.

That "Crash" moment hit about Wednesday morning at 1am as I sat in front of an over-cluttered to do list.

It's just my "cycle" - I've been like that forever, and I'm learning to manage it.
I try to take deeper breaths, not say yes to everything, and let the laundry stack up every now and again!

That is when I decided to make this weekend my therapy weekend- a weekend of fun - one where old friends get together, I took a "time-out" from some of my usual activities and I don't think I even touched the washing machine until Sunday afternoon even!

I started the weekend with a fun night of board games and drinks with friends, worked at my 2nd job (at an adorable interior design and gift shop....I hardly call it a job!), had a girls night (complete with rock band and just dance on the wii!), and spent some quality time in the rainy weather turning our living room into a pillow and blanket pit for movies with my boys.

Perhaps the greatest weight lifted off my shoulders was clicking "Send" on an application to a new job. Change is scary to me, and one of the only things scarier than change, is the fear of rejection (spiders too, but that's another story!). The job I am applying for is a dream job of mine. It would be an amazing promotion, and is something I've been working towards achieving in the field I'm working in now. I read, and re-read, and re-re-read everything...spell checked things at least 37 times (ok, maybe not that many), and made my poor husband read the entire application and supplemental questions too. All I can do is pray, and just know, that if it's meant to happen it will!

  2. Cheers to a relaxing weekend. Sometimes you need to just veg out and forget all about laundry (says the girl who still does laundry daily, yes daily!).
