Mani-Monday {glitter reverse french tip}

Glitter has always held a special place in my heart. I bedazzled everything from my notebook to my scrunchies (yes, this dates me!) in school. Now that I'm an "adult" I still like to find ways to sneak a little touch of glitter in!

I fell in love with Essie's  "A Cut Above" - it was perfect. Large chunks of  hex glitter with plenty of pink round glitter". It was a little too "glitzy" for my work place (BOO) but...I still wanted to find a way to sneak it into my manicure!
Then I found Essie's "Turquoise and Caicos" - a beautiful turquoise bright enough for a new spring manicure, but still muted enough to wear to work.

I started with a base layer of 2 coats of the Turquoise and Caicos - pretty, but still needed a little something.

I had seen the reverse french tip, but had never tried it on myself before. I loved how this turned out! I used a toothpick to manipulate where some of the glitter chunks went, but the final product was pretty cute - and I was able to get my love for glitter in there too!

 The final look I ended up with was a french tip of "A Cut Above" on each nail, and a reverse french on the ring finger. Subtle enough to be office appropriate, but more fun then a muted mani!

Linking up with Heather and Heather at JustLovelyThings and Glitter&Gloss for Mani Monday!

    1. This link up is one of our favorites! Gives us both an excuse to actually do our nails! (I'm notorious for waiting until ALL of my polish chips off before re-manicuring up!)
